Established in 1993, as a division of Pinnacle, Pinnsec strives to deliver exceptional services and expertise to our customers & resellers, mass and independent retailers and the government sector. This has positively increased our reputation within the IT and security industry and put us at the forefront of innovation as a leading supplier.

Size & Locations

Pinnacle proudly employs approximately 572 employees of the 4500+ in the Alviva Holdings Group.

Pinnacle’s footprint, scale and size allow our resellers to access a broad range of world-class ICT products which we are able to deliver seamlessly throughout all major centers across the country and almost the entire SADC region. Our headquarters are in Midrand and we have branches in Durban, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Port Elizabeth, and Namibia.

Our SADC business division facilitates our growth north of the border, and services and advances Pinnacle’s capacity to sell ICT products in surrounding African countries. Growth continues to take place into Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola and Malawi with the long-term view being expansion into East Africa, and servicing the Eastern African community. Pinnacle recently extended their Huawei distribution agreement to include Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia.

Certifications

ISO is the International Organisation for Standardisation comprising members from 150 global national standards institutes. ISO International Standards ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of excellent quality.

At Pinnsec, all technical divisions have been ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) certified. Everything from the production line all the way through to implementation, repairs, and warranty as well as the call center, have been ISO approved for quality and environmental care. 

Footprint

Pinnsec's resellers are spread across Southern Africa – quite literally from Struisbaai in the South all the way to Windhoek in the North, and from Springbok in the far West to Richards Bay on the East Coast – and everywhere in between.

We currently have a reseller base of approximately 10 000 active resellers who cover a large spectrum of size and speciality ranging from the largest national and international IT companies, to smaller niche vertical market specialists. At Pinnsec we do not discriminate against size, we have the perfect solution for any company.

Mass Retail

The mass retail team supplies our products to large national chain stores such the JD Group (Incredible Connection, HiFi Corporation etc.), Makro and Game, and we address the growing lower LSM sector of the market with competitively priced offerings.

The channel also consists of computer resellers who sell to businesses and NGOs at all levels. The retail team also supplies our products to popular online national retailers such as Takealot and Loot.

Government

Pinnsec has in excess of 300 resellers and implementation partners who attend to the needs of our Government sector division. We work very closely with these resellers and implementation partners to ensure that the Government sector is efficiently serviced.

With 47 National Government Departments, 127 Provincial Department and 271 Local Municipalities across all 9 provinces, Pinnsec with the assistance of our resellers and implementation partners, ensure that these Departments get the support and latest technology that we offer.

As a local OEM and distributor, Pinnsec is one of a handful of OEM’s that is currently approved on the new SITA transversal contracts (client device and server and storage) that service National, Provincial and Local Government Departments as well as Government Agencies and Parastatals. The contracts are currently serviced by our approved resellers for the various transversal contracts on a provincial basis.

Value Added Services

While our focus is strongly on traditional ICT distribution, we have grown our portfolio to include a variety of complimentary brands and products as well as value added services in the ICT Infrastructure, Point of Sale, Enterprise Mobility and Life Safety & Security industries. 

We foresee opportunity in our Datanet and Pinnsec divisions to up-sell and cross-sell complementary Dell Technologies solutions to our existing infrastructure, reseller and customer base. These Dell solutions will support our current racking and cabling solution portfolio.
